ToiletMartin PaperParr Magazine Edited by Maurizio Cattelan, Pierpaolo Ferrari, Martin Parr, Damiani
For this special edition of Toilet Paper Magazine, Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari invented British documentary photographer extraordinaire Martin Parr to form a dialogue created solely with photographs. On one page you have the image selection from Ferrari and on the next there’s Martin Parr’s juicy snapshots taken straight from his archive. The end result of this collaboration is an explosion of irony and provocation, with a touch of humour that is often found in Parr’s work, particularly with his capturing of the sometimes bizarre Biritsh culture. ToiletMartin PaperParr Magazine is an over the top, fun publication that forces the reader to engage with the images that are being thrown at them.
You Are Here: Art After the Internet, Home and Space
In a time where your safety and rights on the internet are left open for debate, the discussion of the relationship between internet and art is crucial. You Are Here: Art After the Internet explores the effect that the internet has had on contemporary art, and how the rapid growth of the internet has impacted the aesthetic and conceptual value of art. Featuring texts by artist, writers and curators including Sam Ashby, Basel Abbas, Ruanne Abu Rahme, Brad Troemel to name a few, the publication raises questions concerning the “post-internet” and what the steps are to move forward in a world that is dominated by the online and where authorship has lost its value.
