BMW Art Guide by Independent Collectors: The Third Edition

The third edition of the BMW Art Guide by Independent Collectors is here and it’s bigger than ever before! Boasting an updated edition of 236 collections of contemporary art that all are private yet publicly accessible, we have created the leading guide to art collections worldwide.

Featuring collections from some 39 countries, the Art Guide has once again expanded its horizons with no location too far and no collection too remote.  From cosmopolitan cities such as London and Beijing to the smaller German town of Überlingen and the Oslo Fjord peninsula in Norway, the Art Guide promises its readers a full spectrum of the contemporary art world.

The official launch took place in the midst of Berlin’s Gallery Weekend at the Soho House, where a panel discussion featuring Karen Boros (Sammlung Boros). Christian Kaspar Schwarm (founder of Independent Collectors) and Editor in Chief of the Art Guide Sylvia Dominique Volz discussed the Art Guide and the passion of collecting, moderated by BMW's Head of Cultural Engagement Thomas Girst.

The third edition of the BMW Art Guide by Independent Collectors hosts 236 publicly accessible private collections in 39 countries. You can buy a copy of the guide directly via Hatje Cantz or Amazon.
